Portfolio Update
So between normal Monday chores and a wee vet visit for my old Border Collie, Jez, ive managed another step forward on my website build, I now realise why people pay someone else to do this! but since I don’t have the budget for such frivolities, i’ll just have to “haud chappin” now there’s a good Doric saying, meaning of course, to just carry on.
The pic above is a “stitchy pet” portrait of old Jez, he turned 13 in January and is getting a bit wobbly on his legs, so an easy life of wee danders and lots of cuddles ahead. I added this photo as i’ve not yet had time to add all of these to my portfolio but i’m spending every spare moment working on it.
Today i’ve manage to add amongst Tattoos & Embroidery and Beasties & Botanicals, the full range of public art pieces i’ve worked on over the years. Every one of these pieces has been a challenge, whether it was braving the elements in freezing outbuildings as they wouldn’t fit in my studio, to working out how to contort my body into positions to get into paint things like Oor Wullies oxter (another Doric word meaning armpit)
All of these challenges were worth it though when they collectively raised nearly £55,000 for their charities. The auctions are always exciting to attend.
So that’s my ramblings for today, doing website stuff is not my strong point but it’s always good to learn new things!
If you would like to have a rake through my portfolio so far, just push the button and thanks for reading.
cheers
